Articles : Writing For Profit

Posted by: virayvibe In: Blogging

Writing articles can be a great way of earning a regular income and there are several ways in which this can be done. Bear in mind that each time you upload an article to a directory it will get seen by several people every day, there are hundreds of article sites so even if you just wrote one good article you could submit it to 100 sites and literally have thousands of people viewing it on the first day. Of course you can write and submit as many articles as you like and increase that number exponentially.

Now consider if you monetise those articles so that each one on each site earned you an average of just $1 a day, it wouldn’t take long to be earning a steady income! This is why you can find many authors who have submitted thousands of articles to different directories. Some download as many as 30 or 40 a day.

It is not difficult to write articles, the internet is full of them and you can take your ideas from other authors. Never copy other peoples work word for word or you won’t be allowed to publish, but look for the most popular articles in the directories and take your ideas from them. Read them and rewrite in your own words. You can also get your information from websites based on the subject you chose, encyclopaedia sites, FAQ sites etc. Make your article original by taking info from various sources. The article only need to be around 400 to 750 words long and are intended to drive people towards the website or product that you want to promote.

When writing your articles you need to make them rich in keywords, use an online tool like Google’s suggestion tool, Wordtracker or Overture to find out the most searched for keywords and keyword phrases. Feature the keywords in your article especially near the top of the page and you will do much better in the search engines. One good article can spread quickly across the internet as people download it and add it to there site or directory. The rules of the article directories state that downloaders of your article must keep the resource box intact when they use your article so that’s more links to your site or product.

The way to make money from articles is via the resource boxes you will find at the bottom of the page. In here you can put information about yourself along with links to any websites or affiliate product you like. You should read through the rules on each article directory before you submit an article though as some do not allow direct links to affiliate products. You can get around this by setting up new forwarding domains, this is where you set up a domain name and redirect it to your affiliate program URL. You may also want to invite people to email you to receive a free eBook, report or newsletter. This is a good way of building your contacts list.

Article marketing is a great way to create links and earn income, it does take a little hard work on your part and you won’t get instant riches. But as you build up the amount of articles you write and the number of directories you submit them to you should find your profits growing. It’s a good idea to write a range of articles based on a certain subject then create a website using these articles, one page each. As you submit the article to directories you can add you website address to the resource box, driving more and more traffic to the site. To your website you can then add Google Adsense and other affiliate links given you several earning possibilities.

You can even start your own article directory where you can post all your articles and download other peoples and encourage others to add to the site. Of course you can add your affiliate links and Adsense to all the pages in the directory. You could choose to create a general article site or concentrate on a niche theme for a more focused approach. Check out articledashboard.com for a place to get your own directory for free.

About the Busby SEO Test Contest & Gary Viray

I started my stint in the world wide web as an open-source backend programmer and then, over the years I just got entangled with graphical interfaces and UIs. I am a C# developer, PHP savvy programmer and I can code anything within the family of C/C++.

The road that led me to Online Marketing primarily on SEM and Blog Marketing is just a simple ebook. From then on, I combined my deep knowledge in programming and databases to develop my personal tools and scripts useful in SEO.

It fascinates me how the Search Engine algorithms are different now compared in the past. So up until now, I never stop unlocking their behaviors.

My relationship with the SEs is more of a Batman & Joker relationship thing - we complement each other. It is addictive.

Today, I am a full-blown Online Marketer maintaining a good number of sites out there. Making money out of it too.
