Manny Pacquiao won the fight, technical knock out, versus Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya as the latter threw the towel prior to the start of the 9th round.

Some observed, at the 8th round, Pacquiao hesitated knocking out De La Hoya and sees it as form of respect for his idol. 

Prior to this match, folks have different opinion as to who might win. Some say it will be Oscar De La Hoya as he is a natural at this weight class and have the capability to manhandle his opponent. While others say Pacquiao will likely take it as he is at his prime. Some also speculate that this will reach a decision – no knockout.
