Busby SEO Test Happy New Year!

I’d like to thank all our Busby SEO Test readers a Happy New Year! Eversince we joined the competition, around 35-36 days ago, so much has happened to this blog that includes:

• Getting more than 500 visits a day.
  I know there are more blogs getting higher than that but let me say that I’m proud that we’re growing. I’m now thinking whether we could hit like 1000 visits a day by January 31, 2009 so we’ll see.
• Learning the Google search engine algorithm changes.
  All of us involved in this competition are observing how Google is changing its algorithm in ranking websites based on a particular keyphrase. There were some experiments here and there that allowed us to reach page 1 so far. Our patience, determination, and even internal competition for that matter kept our feet on the ground and be cautious not to overdo the various approaches.

Hitting the number 1 spot has become not a question of whether you are good enough – but more of how decided and focused you are in attaining it. We now eat, sleep, and breathe this contest. It is like our world is now evolving around it. What a crazy-like obsession some might say. I look forward in getting some worry-free sleep again once this is over.

At any rate, have a great celebration! We’ll post some fireworks video and photos here later on. May you have a fulfilling 2009 ahead!

Serenity Prayer & Busby SEO Test

The Christmas mass I got to attend to yesterday distributed a small flyer that has the Serenity Prayer. For Busby SEO Test friends unfamiliar with it, here is the content:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

We all usually face challenges in our lives. Some of us don’t give up until we have given everything that we got. That includes be able to stand proud, in time of defeat, and say, “I went down fighting” or “I gave my best and fight for what I felt was right. If I lost, then it was not mine to take or win”.

I guess this was especially true when dealing with politics (or policies for that matter) and where our actions will affect a lot of people or a constituency as a result.

On a personal level, we must not forget that we should never try changing others. However, we have the power to change ourselves and how we see them.
