I am not proud of my blog

Posted by: virayvibe In: Blogging

After the DigitalFilipino.com Club Event in Manila held last night, I decided to convert this blog as my primary blog because I noticed that whenever people/bloggers ask me what my blog is, I keep on saying, “Omg! I am not proud of my blog/s.” I used to blog about my personal views like the rest of the bloggers out there but then, after hitting a gold mine online, I immediately converted practically all of my sites into a money making machine. Truly, I made money online but then, it “killed my social life”.

Oh yes, I opted for my paypal account rather than having my blog be a real blog where people will be interested to visit.

I guess, I am going to name this blog, garyviray.com as “I am not proud of my blog” because it will keep on reminding me on how I transformed from being a real blogger to a money making guy online and back again, just to be proud of my blog again.

Geez! as of now, please don’t ask me of what my blog is, okay? lol.

So you were at the DFC bloggers event too. Hehe okay lang yan. Like you, mukha din akong pera hahaha. I suggest you make a blog na pangsocial-ekek like this one and have a couple of blogs for the moolah. That way, you can get the best of both worlds diba?

Cheers!

Hopped in here from Bloggista, gary v.! Upon browsing the three previous pages, i understand what you meant in your post title. I’ve been at that point in my blogging career (as if may career), earning much from pp but no longer proud of my blog direction. Then google slapped me. I bought my own domain to start again. This time, without the pp. But i’m not closing my doors and windows on such money-making opportunities. Making money online is hard work, and something to be proud of.

Hi! I am sorry that I did not included your name on my initial list, but now I did. Thanks for reminding me by leaving a comment to my event post.

Yes, I remember we had a small chit-chat during the event. But I am really intrigued by your tagline - not proud of your blog. If you’re not, then who will you expect to be?

Making money out of blogging is the dream of many, and you should be proud of being among the few who are making it.

By the way, here is something to think about and think real hard.

Some real bloggers are making money online, but NOT ALL who are making money online are real bloggers.

Thanks!

Okay I won’t ask about this blog. Hehe. I find it nice to meet bloggers who live near my place - don’t you?

Anyway, a lesson learned. This is what’s great about blogger meetings - you learn from other bloggers and realize you’re not alone.

Even if you’re not proud of your blog, at least nakita niyo ang ibang bloggers. I think that’s what these blogger meetings are for - to learn from each other.

About the Busby SEO Test Contest & Gary Viray

I started my stint in the world wide web as an open-source backend programmer and then, over the years I just got entangled with graphical interfaces and UIs. I am a C# developer, PHP savvy programmer and I can code anything within the family of C/C++.

The road that led me to Online Marketing primarily on SEM and Blog Marketing is just a simple ebook. From then on, I combined my deep knowledge in programming and databases to develop my personal tools and scripts useful in SEO.

It fascinates me how the Search Engine algorithms are different now compared in the past. So up until now, I never stop unlocking their behaviors.

My relationship with the SEs is more of a Batman & Joker relationship thing - we complement each other. It is addictive.

Today, I am a full-blown Online Marketer maintaining a good number of sites out there. Making money out of it too.
