Cell Phone Users & Abusers
I’ve encountered a lot of folks using their cell phones in a funny, odd, and even annoying kind of way. What drives me crazy are those who:
- Keep on texting while in a meeting or function.
I think as a respect to the person running the meeting or speaking at a function, this must be done subtly. - Loud ring tones
I don’t see the point because the other option is you can turn on vibration mode and that will serve the purpose as well of alerting you of incoming calls or text messages. - Loud voice call
There are some who can’t keep their voice down when speaking especially in public transportation and private offices.
Despite the above annoyances, I’m sure that my fellow Busby SEO Test participants will agree with me that cell phones are very much helpful devices. It allows us to keep in touch no matter how far is the person you are talking to. When there are times that face-to-face contact is almost impossible, especially for families with loved ones working abroad, hearing a person’s voice over the phone keeps the heart warm.
In addition, during times of crisis, cell phones have proven itself as one of the most powerful device for disaster coordination that can result to saving lives.
This is an entry to the Cell Phone Users and Abusers writing project to promote Dr. Mike O’Malley’s book Cell Hell – 55 Cell Phone Users You’d Like to Silence. This is a humorous and satirical book capturing the most ubiquitous phenomenon of our time – cell phone (mis)use.
